That someone!

Did they say it's the sparkle in one's eyes, or the bells ringing in surprise...
Was the wave length supposed to match,
Or is it just a good looking catch?

What is that?
The delight in the smile, or the money piled?
Is it the experience or it's consequence or was it just the tall, dark and handsome.
It wasn't surely the small spark of wisdom that makes him awesome.

They say, when you shut your eyes and open your heart, you will know if he's right.
But records also remind us that, all that is possible is just one's fate.
Eventually you'll find the one right, by then it could be all too late!
Be practical, they say, logic will have its way but you've got to be pious, finding him should be your life's bias.

Go online, put in a line, go meet outside, take preside. Or, just let your parents decide.
They will work things out, and hire a worthy guide.

They also said, don't be a drama queen,
you are not the only one life is been too mean.
It happens to all,
we have been through it all.
Just hang on and do not fall for anyone lame who just comes by.
You need to work things out for things to multiply - learn to flirt, get the eye to revert.
Once you get noticed, stay focused, lose some weight, clothe bright.
Leave behind the head weight, ok?
Don't be so uptight!

You got to go looking, same time it could also come to you finding.
It's the stars that should match; The lines on your palms should latch; the numbers will have to, have to patch.

It's the big knot, forget not!
Millions have been through this phase, haven't they not?
You are not the only one to face this situation.
Again, why is there as much commotion and confusion?
Generations have got it right (More right, for the world is no more light)

They say, for some it's meant to be love marriage;
Rest it's lovers after marriage, or was it love cum marriage?
Whatever that means - All that matters is that you are now of age!
But you see, for many it's a societal baggage,
That has left much in bandage.
More bleeding hearts, thanks to some pilferage but remember...
Marriage comes with wise adage!

And yet...
Mother prays for you, father worries you
Brother and sister plead with you
You are blocking their line in view
Happy for your freedom - Very very few!!

I stand to ask:
What could let you know that here’s the one!
All the same - one nose, one mouth, two to four eyes - nothing there a surprise.
A little receding hair, a preceding belly-air
For some it just depends on what they wear.

I want to know:
How could one know that here's the one!
That there is no one as good as this one
And if got wrong,
You are just no one for none, for long, so so long!!

On the way of being SOMEONE

Some things we are born with,
some things we are taught,
the core of the two make us special

Some incidents we learn from,
some instances we leave behind,
the blend of the two make us someone real

Some journeys we venture on,
some passages we suffer,
the start after the two make us alive

Some lessons we learn,
some wisdom we earn,
the drill of the two make us worthwhile

Some memories we like to forget,
some memoirs we want to protect,
the best kept of the two, make us someone rational

Well, we are still on the way of being that someone.

Walking the life

Love to walk
Be it a stroll through lanes deep in thought,
To pace through in a busy street in a hurry,
Or to scramble in a dense forest in awe...

As I walk,
Reflecting on the sights around,
Recollecting the day gone by,
Remembering the notes of the day ahead,
Reciting a poem long forgotten,

I love the sound of a joke cracked,
a few giggles, a few stares
Overheard behind or ahead of me as my friends walk.

I love to walk,
knowing that I have those behind, to follow
knowing that I have those ahead, to lead
The feeling of walking by myself,
knowing that when I stop, there are some who will nudge me to move on,
is oh so special;
knowing that when I don't turn up, there are few who will return to pull me along
is so so special...
The walk of life!
There is always someone ahead or behind,
who will catch up.
I might be too fast, they might be little slow
MOVE ON they say...
As we walk ahead, life will catch up!
